As the righteous protests for the murder of George Floyd continue to be held across the streets of America and other parts of the globe (much to the dismay of a certain White House occupant), the good people of Houston probably felt the loss more than the rest of us as they were familiar with George Floyd way before anyone knew who he was.

Before making headlines as the latest victim of police homicide, George Floyd was known in H-Town as a member of DJ Screw’s Screwed Up Click who rapped under the moniker, Big Floyd, and though he never broke through to the mainstream, Floyd got hella love from his city.

during his 90’s run, Floyd eventually released his own album in 2000 dubbed Block Party as part of the Presidential Playas.
