Generation X is getting a convention of their own. Nostaligiacon is an upcoming convention celebrating all things 1980s including movies, TV, music, and pop culture. The new two-day event will take place on September 28-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Ca.
The convention will feature ‘80s TV and movie cast reunions, pop culture panel discussions, memorabilia, collectibles, and live concerts featuring artists from the era.
Some of the stars already confirmed for the event include Taimak (The Last Dragon), Val Kilmer (Top Gun), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Loni Anderson (WKRP in Cincinnati), The Sugar Hill Gang, Doug E. Fresh, Monie Love, and metal band, Dokken.
Nostalgiacon founder Manny Ruiz recently took a nationwide road trip with his family promoting the upcoming event and stopping by iconic ‘80s pop culture and movie landmarks including locations where Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and The Karate Kid were filmed.
