According to Shadow And Act, Mr. Willie Shakespeare is getting a glow up like none other in NYC’s annual Shakespeare in the Park this summer season. The melanated cast will be led by none other than Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon.
The setting will be changed from Messina, Sicily, to modern-day Atlanta, GA. Now, that’s definitely a horse of another color so to speak! Check out Mr. Leon’s explanation of the project in the video below!
The play is running now through June 23 at the Delacorte Theater.
