‘24’ reboot will star a black character

24-TV-Show-LogoFox saw some good rating for its mini-series 24: Live Another Day and have decided to bring the show back. But this time, it’ll be without Jack Bauer. According to Deadline, the rebooted series, titled 24: Legacy, will have an all new cast and all new characters with the star being black.

The new series will revolve around a military hero named Eric Carter returning home to the U.S. who brings some of his problems with him. He looks to CTU to help solve these problems along with stopping yet another terror attack in the United States. The co-lead in the series will be an woman who is the former head of CTU and has a long history of solving these types of problems.

There’s no word on when production will begin or when Fox plans to launch the rebooted series.
