I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Numa Perrier and Dennis Dortch, co-founders of Black & Sexy TV. They are the masterminds behind The Couple, RoomieLoverFriends, Sexless, and more. They chatted with me about how they transitioned their business model from YouTube to a full on VHX streaming service, and more.
Fan favorite shows will remain on YouTube, but some of their newer material will only be available on the streaming service for $7 a month. They only launched in February, so they are still rolling out new material, but so far so good.
Chatting with them was an inspiration. I love that they have creative and business control of their art, and that it’s unapologetically Black without being super formulaic or stereotypical. I’m going to stop gushing over them now, but read the full story here.
