Ice Cube’s new film, ‘Rocky Mountain High,’ acquired by Universal

ice-cubeIce Cube just wrapped up filming the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, just a couple of weeks ago and now he’s looking toward his next project. Titled Rocky Mountain High, the film is a comedy set in the marijuana-legal state of Colorado. Although the details of the story are under wraps, according to Deadline, there was a five studio bidding war over the pic and Universal won.

Shooting for the film is set to begin next summer, most likely in Colorado.

After the success of Ride Along, 22 Jump Street, and his plans to relaunch the Barbershop franchise, Cube is having an incredible year.
