Lupita Nyong’o to join Idris Elba on ‘Jungle Book’

lupita_nyongoIt’s been a good week for Lupita Nyong’o. She not only was on the cover of People Magazine as the most beautiful person, she scored a role in one of the most anticipated films. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lupita has pretty much closed a deal to star (or voice) in the upcoming live action/CG hybrid The Jungle Book as Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts Mowgli.

Idris Elba has already been cast as the tiger, Shere Khan and Scarlett Johansson is closing a deal to voice Kaa, the suspect python that eats other animals by hypnotizing them.

The film is being directed by Jon Favreau and will hit theaters on October 9, 2015.
