Larenz Tate goes fulltime on ‘Rush,’ leaves ‘Mr Robinson’

larenz-tateThe year has been pretty good to Larenz Tate so far. He starred in two pilots and both of them are getting picked up. Decisions, decisions.

One pilot was Mr. Robinson, starring Craig Robinson (The Office) as a journeyman musician who gets a job as a music teacher at a middle school. The pilot was actually taped last year and passed on over the summer. But then was picked up by NBC in January with Tate still attached to the show.

The other pilot was Rush, starring Tom Ellis as medical “fixer” that caters to L.A.’s elite. Tate would play as Dr. Alex Thomas, the best friend from medical school. Alex works as a high-ranking physician at one of Los Angeles’ top hospitals and appears to have the ideal family life. USA picked up Rush and with that, picked up Tate.

Do you think Larenz made the right choice?
