‘Arrow’s David Ramsey talks John Diggle, the future and the past

DavidRamseyArrowArrow is probably the best TV show based on a comic book ever made and for those that have been keeping up with the show this season it’s been more than satisfying. In this week’s episode, we got to learn more about John Diggle, Arrow’s (or Oliver Queen’s) right hand man. Played by David Ramsey, Diggle is appreciated by fans because he’s way more than a hero’s sidekick, he’s his partner and helps to keep Oliver grounded when his emotions start to get the better of him.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ramsey talked about this week’s episode and the introduction of the Suicide Squad, which consists of Bronze Tiger, Deadshot and Lyla Michaels, and who apparently we’ll get to see more of in the run up to the season finale.

We only have a few more episodes before we have to mount up against the Mirakuru-injected Deathstroke. I put it like this: We’re going to need all the help we can get and that’s not limited to any member of the Suicide Squad.

In addition to that, it looks like we’ll get more backstory about Diggle and the contracted murder of his brother Andy.

That’s something the writers have absolutely said they’re going to get in. We left a nugget some episodes ago and we even touched on H.I.V.E., the organization that hired Deadshot to kill Andy. That’s a big thing. Andy’s very much involved with that and H.I.V.E., as DC fans will understand, is a big story. The writers have the habit of dropping a nugget that they may not reach again in four or five episodes down the line, so H.I.V.E. and Andy Diggle is a big story come season three.

Here’s a clip from this week’s episode. If you’re not up on Arrow, you’re missing out!
