‘Key & Peele’ renewed for 4th season, animated series in development

key-and-peeleAlthough people continually put Comedy Central’s Key & Peele in the Chappelle Show‘s shadow, the sketch comedy series, hosted by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele is holding its own coming up with great and original sketches. Matter of fact, it’s doing so well, Comedy Central announced that it’s renewing the series for its fourth season.

In addition to the series renewal, Comedy Central announced that they are also giving a development deal to Key and Peele for an animated series based on their characters “Vandaveon & Mike.”  Vandaveon and Mike upload videos to YouTube and critique the latest episodes of Key & Peele. It’s really hilarious. The animated series, however, will have Vandaveon and Mike as 12-year-old hall monitors navigating their way through middle school.

“Keegan and Jordan keep generating such a limitless supply of funny, inventive sketches, I’m starting to think they are not only 1/2 black and 1/2 white, but also 3/4 alien,” said Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming at Comedy Central.
